Methodology & Data Sources
How we turn versioned game data and documented mechanics into results you can inspect and reproduce.
Versioned data, not hand-maintained lists
The active dataset is Minecraft 26.2, captured on 2026-06-25. Build scripts ingest versioned data from the open-source misode/mcmeta project, retain source URLs and capture dates, and reject inconsistent records before a release can build.
Calculator verification
The enchantment planner models prior-work penalties, rarity multipliers, edition differences, conflicts, and the 40-level survival limit. Its exact Pareto subset search is checked against documented Minecraft Wiki examples and hundreds of independently brute-forced randomized cases.
Generator and translator checks
Give commands are assembled from typed fields, escaped before output, and tested against fixed examples and edge cases. For the enchanting-table translator, the build process verifies a minimal A–Z bitmap set against Minecraft’s in-game font, checks its fingerprint and coverage, and does not publish the complete source texture. Typed text and exported files are rendered locally in your browser and are not uploaded. See the asset-use disclosure for ownership and scope.
Corrections and limitations
Minecraft snapshots and platform behavior can change. Every tool states its supported edition and version; we do not silently guess unsupported mechanics. If a result differs from the current game, send the edition, version and reproducible steps through our contact page.
